(Photo above poached from Design*Sponge, thank you! If I had my own photo, I’d use it!)

Was perusing through Design*Sponge’s great coverage of some of the artists at the National Stationery Show in New York when I spotted this card from Twig & Fig featuring my Pigeons illustration. They produced this beautiful card by doing a foil print on wood.

Suzie McKig was kind enough to get in touch with me and offered to send me some samples, to which I say YES!  Apparently they have also done cards with my microphone, cassette tape, and headphones illustrations as well, which I would love to see. It’s always great to see my iStockphoto work getting out there and applied to products in such an excellent way.

3 Thoughts on “HELLO TWIG & FIG!”

  • Very very cool! Congrats Sam, great to see your stuff out in the wild. The card looks great and I’m a big fan of that illustration. In fact, we are very much thinking of blowing that same pigeon piece up and using it to decorate our sad, barren, walls.

Because nothing brightens a room like pigeons!

  • Jamie – Ooh, that would probably look great! And I’m not just saying that because it’s my piece, heh. The perspective would work really well on a wall, I would think. Also, surely people associate pigeons with a clean and hygienic home!

Leenda – If only I could do something like this myself. I’d need some sort of press. I am toying with the idea of getting into screen printing this summer, however.
